The Philharmonia Orchestra of New York, a newly formed orchestra comprised of former members of world-famous ensembles, has hired Momentum Communications Group for PR support.
The Philharmonia Orchestra of New York consists of musicians who previously performed with the New York City Opera Orchestra, as well as the Met Opera Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and the New York City Ballet Orchestra. The ensemble embraces the works of classical composers while pushing the boundaries of the modern symphonic experience, employing immersive lighting and original full-length films that are projected on giant screens during performances.
The new orchestra in March makes its season premiere at Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
New York-based Momentum, which specializes in nonprofits and education, will now work to introduce the new ensemble and promote its concerts. Momentum's work for Philharmonia will integrate publicity, direct marketing, advertising and social media.
