It’s a new position at the Washington, D.C.-based healthcare communications agency, created to meet demand for senior level strategists specializing in biopharma and medical device fields as its Boston outpost continues to expand.

Prior to joining JPA, Bain was vice president and co-lead of Racepoint Global’s healthcare practice, where she managed earned media and integrated creative programs for clients. Prior to that she was a senior account executive at tech and healthcare PR firm Schwartz MSL. She also held account executive stints at Ogilvy's Feinstein Kean Healthcare unit and the Boston offices of Interpublic PR giant Weber Shandwick.

Bain will now help guide client services at JPA’s Boston office and will create campaigns across paid, earned, owned and social media programs.

JPA Health Communications accounted for more than $6 million in healthcare-related net fees in 2015, according to O'Dwyer's rankings of PR firms.
