Travis Considine, a Republican political operative who was press secretary for Gov. Rick Perry's 2016 presidential bid, has joined Hill+Knowlwon Strategies as a VP in Austin.
Considine was a press deputy in Perry's gubernatorial office and press secretary to Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. He co-directed Sen. John McCain's 2008 war room during his presidential run.
Considine reports to GM Merrill Davis in Austin, where H+K has about 40 staffers and its 2010 merger partner, Public Strategies, has deep roots.
