Darryl Seibel, former chief communications officer for the US Olympic Committee, has been named chief press officer for World Sailing at the upcoming Rio Olympic Games.
WS, the former International Sailing Federation, is the governing body for the sport of competitive sailing. The group took on the World Sailing name in December.
Seibel currently handles external relations for the University of Nevada Last Vegas athletics department. He handled communications and media strategy for the British Olympic Association during the London Games in 2012.
Rio will be Seibel's 10th Olympics.
