Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Miami-based journalist and entrepreneur Jorge Bravo founded Hispanic Kitchen in 2009. Home-cooking flagship site HispanicKitchen.com, which features thousands of recipes and cooking tips, as well as videos and essays on health and nutrition, sees 1.6 million users a month along with its combined social media presence.
The new Hispanic Kitchen, which includes a recently re-launched website, will be a joint venture between Hispanicize, Miami-based online ad network Salvo Group and Latin cuisine social network Chattervox Media. The new outfit will be led by Hispanicize Media Group COO Piera Jolly, who now assumes the role of managing partner. Bravo will retain a minority interest in the company, and will continue as the site’s editorial director.

The holding company is headquartered in Miami and maintains offices in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
