Foerster will join APCO’s international advisory council and will provide her services to clients through the IAC’s sub-group, Corporate Communication Strategies. The specialty group is comprised of academics, former corporate and PR agency CEOs, and corporate communications executives. Foerster will be based in Seattle.
Foerster, who had held the VP slot at Boeing’s Commercial Airplanes division since 2009, was previously vice president of communications and community relations at Boeing Defense and Space. During her time with the aerospace and defense giant, Foerster was responsible for implementing all domestic and international communication activities. She joined Boeing in 1997 as PR and advertising director.
Prior to joining Boeing, Foerster was a senior executive at two global PR agencies: Hill+Knowlton and Burson-Marsteller. She was appointed to B-M’s worldwide board in 1992.
APCO, the number-two ranked PR agency in O’Dwyer’s rankings, in 2015 accounted for nearly $120 million in fees.
