St. Paul, MN-based consumer, healthcare and financial services agency Beehive Strategic Communication has appointed Steve Mann vice president.

Mann joins Beehive from St. Paul-based professional ice hockey team the Minnesota Wild, where he was director of strategic business initiatives and was responsible for launching Minnesota hockey-themed web site Stateofhockey.com. Prior to that he was an integrated communications assistant manager at consumer food giant General Mills and a senior account director at Chicago-headquartered PR and social media agency Alpaytac Marketing Communications/Public Relations. He also held account supervisor roles at Cramer Krasselt, MS&L Group (then Manning Selvage and Lee) and Fleishman-Hillard. He began his PR career at Weber Shandwick, where he served as senior account executive.
As VP, Mann will shape Beehive’s consumer portfolio and strategic service offerings.
Beehive, which accounted for more than $3.8 million in net fees in 2015, in May rebranded as Beehive Strategic Communication from its former name, Beehive PR.
