Ketchum Europe CEO David Gallagher has taken a top role in parent Omnicom's newly formed Public Relations Group.

Gallagher, based in London, will serve as president, growth and development, international, a new post for the group focused on building integrated client teams, talent development, new business development and new client service propositions, among other tasks.
He reports to PR Group CEO Karen van Bergen, who praised Gallagher's "global mindset" and record of success facilitating connection and collaboration among agencies.
He has been a partner at Ketchum since 2011 and stationed in Europe since 2000, when he moved on from leading its Washington, D.C., healthcare unit.
Ketchum CEO Rob Flaherty tapped Mark Hume as COO for Europe to replace Gallagher. He continues as CFO for Europe, as well.
Omnicom in February tapped van Bergen to lead the new PR Group aimed to integrate and foster collaboration among the holding company's PR units, including FleishmanHillard, Porter Novelli, CLS Strategies, Cone, gplus, Marina Maher, Mercury and Ketchum, among others.
