Kate Nocera, the political reporter who jumped to PR last year with SKDKnickerbocker, is returning to BuzzFeed as managing editor for Washington, D.C.
Nocera earlier covered Congress for Buzzfeed, after stints on the healthcare beat at Politico and politics for the New York Daily News.
She did a seven-month stint at SKDK before returning to the publishing realm as a senior editor with the content shop Vox Creative, part of Vox Media.
Nocera told Politico she missed "traditional journalism a lot," adding, "I had an itch to do something different with my career, but it became clear really quickly — I did PR for less than six months — that I belonged back in media."
