#NeverTrump app goes through the existing contacts on your smartphone and identifies friends from swing states as well as matching you by interests with those you've never met, like a dating app, so you can check out their profiles and see who might want to swap a vote. The logic behind it is that those in swing states and solidly blue states should work together to ensure a third-party protest selection doesn't hand the election to Trump.
For example, an Ohio voter might match up with someone from New York. It both agree Trump is the worst case scenario it makes sense for the Ohio voter, who wanted to choose an independent in protest to Trump, to trade this vote with someone in New York where polls show Clinton has a lock on the state.
Clinton gets the vote in Ohio, the risk of Trump edging her out in that state is lessened and the independent picks up a vote in New York.
The app fosters group chatting with other voters and you can also connect using Facebook or LinkedIn as an additional way of vetting those you match up with.
