Most recently, Papazian served as chief marketing officer and head of business development at HD Vest Financial Services, an independent broker-dealer with 4,500 financial advisors.
HTG, celebrating its five-year anniversary, has tasked Papazian to assist with growth plans as well as lead a new board of advisors for the firm. She’ll work closely with president and managing partner Joseph Kuo.
Although Kuo originally came from a PR agency generalist background, after spending nearly two years as the senior VP and head of PR for LPL Financial, the nation’s largest independent retail brokerage firm by revenues, he founded HTG with his sights set exclusively on the retail financial advice industry, such as brokerage firms and independent wealth managers.
“I'm incredibly excited to partner with Ruth Papazian, who has been not only a colleague and a client, but also a personal friend and trusted advisor for many years,” Kuo said.
HTG, headquartered in Los Angeles with satellite offices in San Diego and Seattle, has 15 employees. Current clients include Cetera Financial Group and Financial Services Institute.
