Shipping giant FedEx Corporation has retained Ogilvy Government Relations for help with federal aviation policy, as well as taxation and trademark issues.

The Memphis-headquartered delivery service company has hired the WPP lobbying unit for Capitol Hill representation on aviation issues “including Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization,” as well as tax reform and “general transportation issues including trucking,” according to lobbying registration documents filed in December.
The account will be managed by Timothy McGivern, an AT&T veteran who was previously chief of staff to Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS), now governor of Kansas.
FedEx in 2016 has spent more than $9 million in lobbying expenditures related to air transport, according to the Senate Office of Public Records. Other lobbying firms hired by FedEx for air transport issues include Squire Patton Boggs, Prime Policy Group, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Harbinger Strategies, Capitol Strategies Partners and Van Scoyoc Assocs.
