Stanton PR & Marketing handled the communications for Bain Capital Private Equity’s acquisition of Epic Health Services, a US provider of home health care services to medically-fragile children.
Webster Capital had owned Epic since 2010, which has been valued as high as $1 billion. Epic also provides pediatric private duty nursing, therapy, developmental services, and medical solutions, including enteral nutrition, respiratory, medical supplies, and pharmacy.
Dallas-based Epic, founded in 2001, expanded into 21 states under Webster and broadened services beyond pediatric private duty nursing. Local PR shop Marketwave provided communications for Epic during the transaction.
“One of the great things about pediatric home care is great outcomes for the families...but also that it can lower costs by reducing hospital readmissions,” said Chris Gordon, managing director for Bain Capital.
Epic will keep its current management team headed by president and CEO Chris Roussos.

The future of DTC should foster understanding and trust, as well as improving clinical conversations.
