Should Be No Rejoicing Over Death of Trumpcare

As we Americans celebrate this historic July 4, 2026, let us renew our commitment to the principles of the Declaration of Independence.

Let us all remember the purpose of Memorial Day — to honor all the courageous men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

By doubling down on his policies and ignoring the negative impacts of his economic agenda, President Trump is walking into the same messaging trap that cost Biden the election two years ago.

In this holiday season, let us all remember the surest way to overcome the name-calling, mistrust and entrenched divisions which now trouble our nation, and the world is for each of us to exercise civility in our daily lives.

Our nation now faces many challenges, not the least of which are the troubling divisions along political, social and economic lines. We are fortunate, therefore, to have Thanksgiving to bring us together.
