Tom Madden, chairman and CEO of Boca Raton-based TransMedia Group, was hoping to be interviewed by the BBC on the grounds of the Boca Raton Resort & Club, which he’s been a member of for 15 years, for his new book “Is There … Enough Brady in Trump To Win The Insuperable Bowl?”

But the club’s lawyer responded to Madden's request by e-mailing, “It is my understanding that the book you are promoting is about President Trump and frankly, I am leery of the topic. We live in a polarized time where corporations need to walk a neutral line so as to avoid upsetting any group which may have an emotionally charged interest.”
Madden says the book is neither for or against Trump. It’s just a collection of blog entries about last fall’s election and the country’s reaction to Trump. He feels the incident is just emblematic of the anxiety that Trump’s name is causing.
To be fair to the club, their lawyer did also say filming wasn’t allowed because of contractual issues with the BBC related to rights and usage of the club’s image.
“They’re just fearful, and it’s silly,” Madden said.
