Paramount Pictures Corp. has named Hollywood PR pro Chris Petrikin to the newly created executive VP-global communications and branding post.
The job reunites Petrikin with Paramount chief Jim Gianopulos
The duo worked together at 20th Century Fox.
Gianopulos, who was CEO at 20th Century Fox, praised Petrikin as a "deft strategist and consummate professional with vast insight into the entertainment and media industries."
He looks forward to working with Petrikin to "shape the company's narrative," according to his statement.
Petrikin held the chief communications officer slot at 20th Century Fox and previously was senior VP at William Morris.
At Paramount, he will work with the Viacom unit's film and TV divisions on branding and communications strategies.
