Weinstein Public Relations has scooped up the “Outstanding Oregon PR Initiative Award” by Travel Oregon, an agency created by the Beaver State to promote its $10.8 billion tourism industry.

Weinstein PR receives (L to R) Todd Davidson, CEO of Travel Oregon; Lee Weinstein; and Ryan Snyder, incoming chair of the Oregon Tourism Commission.

Presented last month at Travel Oregon's 2016 Travel & Tourism Industry Achievement Awards program, the award recognized Weinstein for its work on the Historic Columbia River Highway Centennial Celebration. The Columbia River Highway was the first planned scenic highway in the United States.

Weinstein managed the event including components such as strategic counsel, social media, stakeholder outreach and video production.

Travel Oregon credited Weinstein for spreading the word and garnering exceptional media coverage for the Columbia River Highway and State Trail.

Lee and Melinda Weinstein launched the firm, which has offices in Portland and The Dalles, in 2007.

The firm is a member of Public Relations Boutiques International, of which Lee Weinstein is currently U.S. president.
