Peppercomm has appointed Steve King to the role of senior director of digital strategy.
King joins the New York-based independent agency from digital consultancy DataPlaces, where he served as chief digital strategist. Prior to that he was a senior director of Burson-Marsteller’s digital practice in New York, where he advised corporate clients on digital and social strategies, and was also a VP of digital strategy at consulting firm Centric Digital.
King previously directed web, mobile and social strategies at Havas Worldwide Digital and served as a strategy and change-consulting leader for the IBM Institute for Business Value.
Peppercomm, which maintains additional offices in San Francisco and London, accounted for more than $18.3 million in net fees last year and is one of the top-ranked PR firms in the country, according to O’Dwyer’s.
