Teach for America is looking to recruit a VP-national communications and engagement executive to craft a communications strategy and serve as the national voice of the non-profit group, according to a report in Philanthropy News Digest.

The New York-based group works to promote educational equity and excellence, targeting the 16M children who are growing up in poverty.
According to the job specs, responsibilities include managing digital opportunities, rapid response/crisis communications, live events, constituent outreach and media training/relations.
TfA prefers a candidate who has experience positioning issues with members of the millennial and genZ markets and can "effectively navigate a complex and/or polarized landscape."
The position reports to the senior VP/marketing & communications and works closely with CEO Elisa Villanueva Beard.
The job could be based either in New York or Washington.
