Martin Sorrell's WPP holding company has been rocked by what is being called the "GoldenEye" virus, which has put its website out of commission.

“IT systems in several WPP companies have been affected by a suspected cyber attack," said a statement today from the company. "We are assessing the situation, taking appropriate measures and will update as soon as possible.”
The Washington Post reports WPP is one of the targets in a "new wave of powerful cyberattacks" that hit Europe today.
It speculated that today's attack may be a reprise of the ransomware attack in May that affected 150 countries.
