Racepoint Global has appointed Karen Lew Bouchard, chief human resources officer, as its first chief operating officer. She expands global human resources duties to include technology services, marketing and new business development. Racepoint has also expanded the responsibilities of three staffers. Previous VP of human resources Kelly Houston takes on the title of VP, global talent management; RJ Bardsley becomes chief strategist in the global technology practice; and Anne Potts serves as executive vice president and managing director of global advertising.
Mark Solheim, who has been with Kiplinger’s Personal Finance since 1980, becomes editor on July 7. Solheim currently supervises the magazine's Money and Living sections. His other positions at the magazine have included automotive writer, managing editor and chief copy editor, as well as editor of Kiplinger.com. He succeeds Janet Bodnar, who is retiring. Bodnar will continue her “Money Smart Women” column, and serve as an ambassador of the magazine with speaking and media appearances.
Steven Cohen joins as VP at The Hawthorn Group, L.C. Cohen most recently served as a consultant to DDC Advocacy and The Advocacy Group on energy, defense and tax issues. He also worked on the 2016 re-election effort of Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH).
The Animal Medical Center, a non-profit veterinary hospital in New York, has appointed Michelle Friedman as executive director of marketing and communications. She’s responsible for marketing, PR, social media, special events, branding initiatives and advertising. Friedman was account director at Marino PR.
Wilks Communications Group has added a foursome. Keriann Kwalik joins as senior group director from the Chicago office of Weber Shandwick, where she supported programs for Harley-Davidson, Campbell Soup Co. and “got milk?” Caroline Seume takes the senior account supervisor slot. She started at Edelman Digital and most recently was marketing director for BlitzLake Partners. Eric Nielsen signs on as digital solutions manager. At Charleston/Orwig, he handled Kerry Foods and Arm & Hammer Animal Nutrition. April Janota joins as digital solutions director. She was at Lalich Resources, working on strategy consultation/ implementation, website management, SEO strategy, video marketing, media buying and analytics.

Burson brings on Matthew Wagner, who was most recently global client relationship manager and energy sector lead at Edelman, as EVP and global client leader... The Key PR appoints Jodi Maroney as principal. Maroney joins the agency after a 25-year run at Access Brand Communications.
Jeffrey Rosen, senior chair of the corporate department at legal firm Debevoise & Plimpton, joins FGS Global, where he will serve as senior advisor.

Whit Clay, who exited the Co-CEO slot at Sloane & Co. 18 months ago to head Longacre Square Partners’ New York office, has been promoted to serve as the first CEO of the financial communication shop.
