Previously, she worked at Weber Shandwick (Belgium), DCI Group and served as national press secretary for Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX).
“Tina brings to the job a wealth of media relations experience, a tremendous work ethic, and a lot of energy,” Pai said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Internet companies such as Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Netflix, Facebook, Reddit, LinkedIn and Amazon are participating in today’s “Day of Action” to protest a threat to retreat from “Net Neutrality.”
They want to head off a Trump administration effort to roll back regulations that require Internet service providers to treat all customers and data equally.
Pai in April expressed support for the ISPs, saying it was “basic economics.”
