Robert Ardelt, managing director of APCO Worldwide in Germany, has been named co-leader of the Washington, D.C.-based firm's global crisis management and litigation communications practice.

Robert ArdeltArdelt, who’s filled the managing director post at the independent global communication agency for more than seven years, will now co-lead APCO’s crisis and litigation communication practice, which operates in more than 80 local markets worldwide.
Ardelt will lead a team of crisis and litigation consultants alongside executive director Kent Jarrell, who is based in Washington.
Prior to joining APCO, Ardelt was a marketing and communications manager at global strategy consulting firm Booz & Company (now PwC’s Strategy&). He was previously a senior associate at Burson-Marsteller, where he led the WPP unit’s crisis communications practice in Germany.
Sherman Fabes, who was most recently SVP of integrated media, media relations at Weber Shandwick, comes on board at the Anti-Defamation League as VP of communications and digital.
