President Trump is removing financier Anthony Scaramucci from his communications director post after a bombastic 10-day run at the request of just-sworn in chief of staff Gen. John Kelly, according to the New York Times.
“Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House communications director,” said White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best.”
Scaramucci is remembered for his profanity-filled interview with the New Yorker and crude verbal takedown of predecessor Reince Priebus.
Kelly has promised to bring order to the chaotic White House staff and disciplined message.
