Michael Morris joined Rasky Partners as VP/General Counsel and chief of its new cybersecurity practice. He headed a law firm focused on corporate/transactional law and provided strategic communications, business development and government affairs services. Larry Rasky also promoted Jessica DiMartino to VP-marketing and Dianna Walsh to associate VP-communications.

Moyra Knight, Karl Uhlendorf and Andrew Lewis are senior level promotions made at Astellas US of Northbrook, IL. Knight takes on the executive director—communications and corporate citizenship position. She's responsible for corporate communications, employee engagement and sustainability for the pharmaceutical house’s Americas region. Uhlendorf moves to the senior director-policy and government communications spot. He’s in charge of the DC office’s government affairs work, executive communications and the Astellas Political Action Committee. Lewis is upped to the senior director-medical and development communications slot. He handles the Astellas Institute of Regenerative Medicine (Marlborough, MA) and Astellas Research Institute of America (San Diego). Headquartered in Tokyo, Astellas is the result of the 2005 merger of Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical and Fujisawa Pharmaceutical.

Laura Braam, a PR veteran with more than 20 years of experience is joining Sheridan PR as principal. Most recently, Braam did a ten-year stint as communications director of Currey Ingram Academy. Earlier she was VP at Nashville’s McNeely Pigott & Fox PR, working for clients such as Country Music Hall of Fame, Comcast/Intermedia and US Dept. of Labor’s Job Corps. Braam also worked in DC at Goddard Claussen Public Affairs. Franklin, TN-based Sheridan also recruited Laney Fay, a recent Washington & Lee University graduate, as staff associate and upped Maggie Forester and Makenzy Davis to senior account exec and associate account exec, respectively.
