W2O Group’s digital marketing unit Sentient has announced two appointments to its leadership team: Dominic Viola has been named managing director of client services and Michael Spitz has been picked for the role of practice leader, strategy.

Dominic Viola Viola joins the Morristown, NJ-based operation from health-based marketing company FCBCURE, where he served as EVP, group management director. Prior to that he held SVP roles at healthcare advertising giant Cline Davis & Mann and medical communications firm Centron. He was previously a VP of account services at Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide.
As managing director, Viola will be based in Sentient’s Morristown headquarters.
Spitz joins Sentient from Klick Health, where he served as VP of Strategy. He was previously a SVP of digital health at Edelman and SVP, managing director of digital shop ZEMOGA’s healthcare and lifesciences division.
Spitz wll now help lead the Sentient practice and will based in W2O’s Financial District outpost, which also houses Sentient’s New York team.

Michael SpitzSentient, formerly known as Sentient Interactive, specializes in digital marketing, strategy, media management and SEO, as well as web design and development for clients in the healthcare, consumer, financial services and e-commerce sectors.
W2O Group acquired the firm in December. Sentient has scaled its fully-integrated offering to a full-time staff of more than 150 since joining the San Francisco-based marketing and communications network.
