The National Beer Wholesalers Assn., which represents more than 3,000 independent beer distributors, has named Eric Bunning its director of federal affairs.
Bunning, who was senior legislative assistant in Kentucky Congressman Andy Barr's office, is in charge of outreach to the White House and Congress, as well as grassroots activities.

Earlier this month, NBWA hired Amanda DeBard as communications director.
She worked as communications director for the Business Roundtable, and energy policy reporter at the Washington Times and EnergyGuardian.
DeBard also consulted for the National Assn of Manufacturers and Keybridge Communications.
NBWA says its goal is to promote safety and responsibility for legal-age drinkers via state-based regulation and distribution of alcohol.
