Mike Paul, who returned to his firm Reputation Doctor after six-months as SVP of Publicis Media of Publicis, has joined The Museum of PR board of advisors.
He joins two dozen PR pros and educators from the U.S. and abroad who assist with fund-raising, collections, research, lecturing and outreach to universities and international PR organizations.

A specialist in crisis management, Paul has counseled CEOs, politicians, entertainers and professional athletes. He has also worked in senior posts at PR firms and global corporations.
“Mike’s expertise in global brand-building will be of particular value to the Museum,” said Museum founder, Shelley Spector. “Mike will also play an important role in fundraising, publicity and industry outreach.”

The 60-year history of the world's largest independent PR firm, will be covered. Founder Dan Edelman invented the media tour in 1952 and pioneered in the creation of environmental PR in the 1990s. A major annual research project is the Edelman Trust Barometer.
The 2017 Barometer, based on 25-minute online interviews with 1,850 respondents drawn from a sampling of more than 33,000 respondents, found the “largest drop ever” in trust in government, business, media and NGOs.
Trust in media fell precipitously to 43% and is at all-time lows in 17 countries, while trust levels in government, at 41%, dropped in 14 markets and is the least trusted institution in half of the 28 countries surveyed, said Edelman.
Latino PR History Is 9/27 Program
Aldemaro Romero Jr., Ph.D., Dean of the Weissman School for Arts and Sciences, Baruch University, will honor Latino PR History Month, Wednesday, September 27, 6–9 pm at Room 14-220.
The pioneering program will be emceed by Mike Fernandez, CEO, U.S., Burson-Marsteller. It will celebrate the history of Latinos in the development of the world-wide PR profession. Co-produced with the Hispanic PR Assn. and Corporate Communication International, it is a free event.
The Museum, founded in 1997 by Spector, serves as the repository for historical materials related to the development of the worldwide PR field. It currently has on exhibit materials from Ivy Lee, Edward Bernays, Inez Kaiser and Ofield Dukes. More information is at prmuseum.org
