President Trump holding football jersey

Nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of Americans in “swing states” believe President Trump shouldn’t focus on his battle with the National Football League, according to a survey released today by Firehouse Strategies, Republican PA firm.

The nation is deeply divided on Trump’s position regarding players who kneel during the playing of the National Anthem.

Nearly four-in-ten (39.1 percent) disagree with the president, while 38.1 percent agree with him with the remaining 22.8 percent of respondents “not sure.”

Only 27.5 percent of respondents supported the just-pulled Graham/Cassidy Obamacare repeal bill.

The main opposition to the GOP bill centered on its treatment of pre-existing conditions.

Nearly six-in-ten (58.4 percent) felt the bill should be rejected due to expert opinion that it did not guarantee affordable coverage for pre-existing conditions.

The poll surveyed people in Florida, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio who are likely to vote in the mid-term elections next year.

Firehouse partners worked on the presidential campaign of Florida Senator Marco Rubio.

Terry Sullivan served as campaign manager, Alex Conant was communications director, and Will Holley worked on legal matters and delegate strategy.
