Brand-News-Team, digital communications outfit, received federal authorization to fly drones in controlled Silicon Valley airspace. The Federal Aviation Administration granted Brand-News-Team permission to fly near San Jose International Airport and Palo Alto Airport. Authorization also has been granted for drone flights in several counties in New York and Connecticut. The firm plans to use aerial content collected from drone flights in public relations, advertising, marketing and social media campaigns. “This will allow us to legally fly a drone to capture 4K video, raw stills and data for a wide range of clients,” said Brand-News-Team president Roger Rosenbaum. “All flights will be carefully researched, planned and coordinated with air traffic control officials.”
