Former Florida Congressman Joe Garcia has joined Mercury as co-chairman of the Omnicom PA firm in Miami.
In Congress, Garcia served on the Judiciary Committee and subcommittees concerning immigration policy/border security and regulatory reform/antitrust law. He also sat on the Natural Resources Committee and its panels covering energy, public lands and wildlife.
President Obama recruited Garcia to the Energy Dept. to direct its office of economic impact and diversity.
Garcia has been active in human rights issues as reflect in leadership roles at the Cuban American National Foundation and Cuban Exodus Relief Fund.
Ashley Walker, managing partner at Mercury, believes Garcia will be a key asset as Mercury works to expand its footprint in Miami and across the Sunshine State.
