Viacom today named Jose Tolosa to the newly-created chief transformation officer post at the entertainment content company.
Most recently, he served as COO of Viacom International Media Network, charged with extending the company’s pay TV footprint and driving content across the devices of consumers.
Tolosa, a nine-year Viacom veteran, will report to CEO Bob Bakish, who praised his “strategic and global perspective and unmatched insights.”
Viacom tapped Melody Tan, executive VP/programming, strategy & operations for MTV, VHI and Logo, to succeed Tolosa as VIMN’s COO.
The former Oliver Wyman consultant joined Viacom in 2003 as director-content distribution & marketing, strategy and business operations.
