FleishmanHillard has promoted Sophie Scott to the role of global managing director, technology. Previously a senior partner and managing director of technology and strategy for the U.K. and EMEA, Scott has been with FH for nearly 15 years. Before joining FH, she worked for Lewis PR's London office. In her new position, Scott will lead the development of the firm's technology sector offering, which represents clients in such industries as consumer electronics, cloud computing, e-commerce, securities, telecoms and wearables. She will also be responsible for attracting and developing top talent at the agency. "Sophie's experiences guiding some of the most dynamic technology organizations across the globe make her an excellent choice for this critical role for our firm," said J.J. Brownstein Group has named Sean Carney as the agency’s first-ever content director and Kyle Harty as group director of social media. Carney has been with BG since 2011, most recently serving as account director in the firm’s public relations department. In his new position, he will be responsible for agency long-form writing, including marketing materials, speechwriting, and executive thought leadership. Harty comes to BG from Publicis Health, where he was supervisor, content strategy. At BG, he will be responsible for developing and leading all social strategies for clients like IKEA, Frankford Candy, DuPont Sorona® and NJM Insurance. “Sean has been a leader at our agency for years and brings his strengths as a writer and storyteller to this role. Kyle is another strategic addition, as his experience, skill and guidance will elevate our already awarding-winning social team,” said Erin Allsman, BG managing director.

View, Inc., a “smart glass” company, has appointed Cameron Craig head of global corporate communications. Craig comes to View from Polycom, where he was head of corporate communications. He has also held executive positions at Visa, PayPal, Apple and Yahoo! At View, he is in charge of the team running internal and external communications. View, which is backed by investments from BlackRock, GE Energy Financial Services, TIAA, CITI and Corning, designs and manufactures glass that adjusts to the outdoor environment, eliminating the need for blinds or curtains in a building.
