Amazon has hired Haley Barbour’s BGR Government Affairs for Washington on transportation policy matters.
BGR’s Amazon team includes Erskine Wells, ex-deputy chief of staff for Roger Wicker (R-MS), Jennifer Lukawski (ex-director of House Relations at the Heritage Foundation and legislative director to former Rep. Bob Dornan (R-CA), Bill Viney (former federal policy director at Broydrick & Assocs.) and Johnathan Mantz (national finance director of Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination).
The online retailer spent $12.1M for lobbying during the past year. Its roster of firms include Squire Patton Boggs, Monument Policy Group, Van Ness Feldman, McGuireWoods Consulting, Bloom Strategic and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.
