Miami-based Newlink has been appointed agency of record for Solmar Hotels & Resorts in Cabo San Lucas. Newlink’s tourism practice will promote travel to the brand’s seven resorts, providing strategic counsel and executing an integrated communications program in the US, Canada and Mexico. The firm will also lead the launch of Solmar’s Greg Norman golf course and luxury residences. “Newlink’s extensive consulting experience in the tourism industry has positioned them as leaders in the field and we’re confident they will propel Solmar Hotels & Resorts into the forefront of our key audiences,” said Ricardo Orozco, Vice President of Operations for Solmar Hotels & Resorts.

Champion Management Group LLC has been named PR agency of record for Pei Wei Asian Diner. Champion initially began work on the Pei Wei account in May on a project basis, but has since expanded its role to include all of the brand’s public relations work, internal communications, social media and crisis management. The agency recently helped introduce Pei Wei’s General Tso’s Chicken – now the restaurant’s top seller nationwide – and managed media outreach when the company moved its headquarters this summer from Scottsdale, Ariz., to Las Colinas, Texas. “The Champion team is first-class from top to bottom, and they’ve already done some exceptional work on our account,” said Pei Wei chief marketing officer Brandon Solano.

Sonnhalter, a communications firm targeting professional tradesmen in the construction, industrial and MRO markets, has added Kadarim, Israel-based Kapro Tools to its client roster. Sonnhalter manages the company’s North American public relations, influencer relations and video promotions programs. Kapro, which owns and operates facilities in Israel, the US and China, manufactures spirit levels, laser levels and layout tools, marking and measuring tools. It has more than 100 patents. The company’s US subsidiary, Kapro Tools Inc., is located in Lake Mills, WI. “We look forward to working with Sonnhalter and using its 40 years of business-to-trade knowledge to help further establish Kapro Tools as an industry leader in the US,” said Gal Wollach, vice president of business development at Kapro Tools.
