The statements of social media ownership, despite being from different perspectives, were actually fairly similar in theory between all three panelists who spoke. Rick Wion’s message that no one person or department within the company really has ownership, rather there are only drivers in particular resonated with me. Especially the bit about the word ownership having a “this is mine got get your own” type of mentality. This really makes a great deal of sense, as this would not serve well in social media at all.
