Bell Pottinger USA terminated its strategic communications program effort for the general delegation of the Palestine Liberation Organization to the U.S. on Oct. 31, according to documents just filed with the Justice Dept.
The Aug. 29 letter of agreement called for the British firm to handle message development, Congressional affairs, media relations, social media and grassroots mobilization to leverage the “influence of Palestinians families and organizations that have been affected by conflict and desire a resolution.”
Bell Pottinger received a $60,305 fee from the PLO on Nov. 16. It also cut ties with Qorvis consultant Chuck Conconi, who served as a freelance media relations on the PLO account.
Qorvis has ties with Bell Pottinger, serving as subcontractor on key international accounts such as Bahrain and Sri Lanka.
It also has worked with Ramallah-based marketing company Ellam Tam on a branding campaign for Palestine that was bankrolled by the Palestinian American Chamber of Commerce.
