News Corp. has brought in MTV alum Nathanial Brown as VP of corporate affairs and communications in New York.

Jack Horner, who held the VP is slot at News Corp., is reportedly moving to a senior PR post in the motion picture unit of Warner Bros.
Brown is senior VP of corporate communications for Viacom’s MTV Networks, which he joined in 2010 after three years as senior VP/corporate comms. at XM Satellite Radio.
News Corp., which is splitting its entertainment business from its publications, said Brown, who was also VP of corporate comms. for Sony BMG and director at Hachette Filipacchi Media, will focus on financial communications, litigation, crisis and policy-related matters under News Corp. chief communications officer Julie Henderson.
Dan Berger holds the same VP role for News Corp. in Los Angeles.
Horner's new post at Warner has not yet been announced. Deadline.com reported that the film unit has been without a corporate publicist since 2007.
