Allison+Partners has brought in Burson-Marsteller Asia alum and tech specialist David Wolf to head its new China operation.
Andy Hardie-Brown, COO of the San Francisco-based firm, said the move into China follows "considerable demand" from existing and prospective clients for PR representation in Asia, South America and Europe.
Wolf, as managing director of the San Francisco-based firm, is based in Beijing and is fluent in Mandarin. He cited a failure to communicate effectively as the most consistent challenge for foreign companies operating in China.
Wolf, who blogs on tech for The Peking Review, founded Burson-Marsteller's China tech practice in 2000 and earlier was COO at Beijing public affairs shop Claydon Gescher Associates. His client experience spans HBO Asia, PanAmSat and Irdeto Access, among others. |
