Kate Torok, senior comms. specialist at St. John Fisher College in Buffalo, N.Y., and a former agency pro, said she now spends about three or four hours a day engaging in social media for the school in this interview below.
"I graduated from college in 2001 and never would I have ever imagined that I'd be doing what I do in my daily work life," she said, adding that "listening, engaging, following" on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn takes up much of that time.
Torok also talks about what newspapers will survive and others that may not, as well as how news sites have become social media forums via reader comments in the two-minute clip.
