Car maker advocacy group the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers Association has retained government relations firm Navigators Global LLC for Washington policy matters related to automated vehicles, among other automotive-industry issues.

Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers Association

America's leading car maker association, the Auto Alliance represents more than three-quarters of all cars and light truck sold in the U.S. on public policy issues that advance the auto industry in Washington D.C. The group is led by former Recording Industry Association of America chairman Mitchell Burt Bainwol.

The Auto Alliance has hired Navigators Global for help with “general issues dealing with fuel economy, automated vehicles and motor vehicle safety,” according to lobbying registration documents singed in March.

The Auto Alliance spent more than $7.4 million in lobbying-related expenditures in 2016.
