Aircraft manufacturer and defense contractor The Boeing Company has hired Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas for representation on Capitol Hill budget issues as they relate to defense.

The Chicago-based multinational corporation has hired the D.C.-based government affairs consulting services firm for help with defense and NASA authorizations and appropriations, according to lobbying registration documents filed in May, as well as regarding issues related to approval of loans for exporters made by the federal government’s export credit agency, the Export–Import Bank of the United States.
Bruce Mehlman (former Commerce Dept. assistant secretary for tech policy), David Castagnetti (former staffer to Democratic politicos Sen. Max Baucus and Congressman Norm Mineta), Dean Rosen (ex-health policy counsel for the Senate committee on labor and human resources) and David Thomas (ex-FTC Congressional director and VP Al Gore aide) head Mehlman Castagnetti Rosen & Thomas’ 12-member team for the account.
