Sachs Media Group has brought on Cheryl Stopnick as senior vice president of public relations and director of South Florida operations. Stopnick was previously founder/CEO at Zero G Communications, an independent communications consulting firm. She has also been director, dealer communications at ADT and executive director of communications at Kaplan. At SMG, Stopnick will serve as senior strategist, cultivate client relations, and grow the agency’s presence in South Florida. SMG is headquartered in Tallahassee with offices in Orlando, Boca Raton, and Washington, D.C.

Rasky Partners has made Jeffrey Terrey a partner of the firm. Terrey joined Rasky Partners in 2002 after serving as political director for Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate Robert Reich, who served as secretary of labor under President Bill Clinton. Prior to that, he was the legislative director at the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General and served on the transition team for Boston Mayor Marty Walsh. Terrey will continue in his roles as senior vice president in the government relations practice in Boston and leader of the codes and regulations group and expand his responsibilities related to the firm’s growing national portfolio.

Solomon McCown & Company has added Jillian Youngblood as vice president. Prior to joining Solomon McCown, Youngblood managed strategic communications, including public affairs and media relations, for a variety of non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and cultural institutions. Before that, she was vice president at education technology company The Noodle Companies, leading communications around PK-20 education and lifelong learning. She has also served as a legislative assistant to Congressman Jerrold Nadler. At Solomon McCown, Youngblood will oversee national communications strategies and expand its New York City presence. A 100% women-owned firm, the agency provides clients with counsel in such sectors as the corporate world, education, housing and real estate, building and design and healthcare.

Cheer Partners has hired Carrie Goldstein as managing director and team lead, employee communications; Carol Ready as senior director, communications; and Lisa Fedrizzi as senior talent lead. Before joining Cheer Partners, Goldstein was a communications director at Pfizer. In her new role, she will lead a team that provides clients with strategies to set a strong foundation for their internal narrative, culture and colleague engagement. Ready joins the agency from Edelman, where she was a senior VP. Before that, she served as vp, healthcare practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and vp at MCS Healthcare Public Relations. She is embedded within a Cheer Partners’ global healthcare client. Fedrizzi was most recently at Rubenstein Public Relations, where she was director of human resources. She now oversees Cheer Partners’ talent strategy and HR-focused client communications.
