Kelley McCormick, COO and partner at Gibraltar Associates, has moved to SKDKnickerbocker in Washington as a managing director.
The eight-year Qorvis alum and partner will handle corporate affairs, strategic communications, reputation and consumer marketing at SKDK, the politically savvy firm that has worked for Barack Obama and Michael Bloomberg.
She focused on non-profit and corporate assignments related to public health at Gibraltar, which merged into McBee Strategic Consulting earlier this year.
McCormick previously handled Eastman Kodak in nine years at Weber Shandwick/Powell Tate and worked blue chip accounts like Wendy's and Coca-Cola at Ketchum.
SKDK/D.C. leadership includes Brunswick and RIAA vet Hilary Rosen and former Obama comms. director Anita Dunn.
Rosen praised McCormick's well-rounded experience. "She is an experienced and creative strategist who has worked every angle in the communications business, from marketing and branding, to corporate social responsibility and reputation building," said Rosen.
