Discover Comox Valley, the travel initiative behind a number of tourism-related activities on the east end of British Columbia's Vancouver Island, is seeking proposals for a series of destination marketing campaigns slated to occur throughout 2016-2017.

Discover Comox ValleyDiscover Comox Valley, which was established by economic development partnership Comox Valley Economic Development Society, wants agencies to outline proposals for five different Comox Valley events planned under its "Your Vacation Starts now" destination marketing banner. Those events include campaigns for the “BC Shellfish and Seafood Festival” and “Two Wheel Bike Festival” events, both slated to occur this year, as well as campaigns for its “WinterJam Festival,” “Outdoor Adventure,” and its “Visitor Intercept and Experiences" program, which will occur in 2017.

The campaign work would incorporate video and website development, graphic design, media buys and co-op ad sales and sponsorship development. 

Total projected budget of the campaigns is approx. $282,000. Firms may choose to submit proposals covering all aspects of the campaigns' development or individual components.

RFP submissions should provide financial costs detailing use of budget funds, a description of planned methodology and services, and a company profile detailing previous, similar campaigns the agency has undertaken. Proposals will be evaluated on cost, ability to achieve desired outcome and qualifications and relevant experience.

Proposals are due by 3 p.m. PST on Fri., March 18.
