Elizabeth, NJ-based wastewater treatment facility Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties has issued a request for qualification to agencies that can provide public relations services.

JMEUCJMEUC owns and operates the Edward P. Decher Secondary Wastewater Treatment Facility located in Elizabeth, and receives and treats industrial, commercial and residential wastewater from a 65-square-mile area across Essex and Union Counties, serving eleven member communities as well as four customer communities.

JMEUC is seeking an agency that can provide services that include: delivering key messages through a PR campaign (via the press and tradition and social media), providing social media coordination, design and production of JMEUC’s bi-annual newsletter, monitoring services (searching for legislative bills that affect the Joint Meetings’ operations and administration), testimony preparation for Joint Meeting’s executive director and attending legislature hearings and monthly board meetings.

An agency will be selected based on capabilities, relevant experience and previous history enacting a PR/marketing campaign for a municipality, county or governmental agency, as well as a narrative statement to be written by the agency regarding how it plans to meet JMEUC’s needs and goals.

Proposals are due by 2 p.m. December 30. Review and evaluation of qualification statements is expected to be completed by January 6.
