There is an old and reliable motto in the political business: “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!”

The offended Trumpkins can’t stand the heat and do not realize how they have revealed their weaknesses.

True, all kinds of “unverified” reports are all over the place about suggested Trump relations with Putin and/or contacts by Trumpian operatives contacting the Russians. There are even “unverified” suggestions that some tasteless Trump conduct might be in existence.

All of that has the Trump operation screaming bloody murder and sounding precisely like children who don’t know how to handle such matters in the bloody sport of politics while they are free to scream charges of all kinds that cannot be verified against the whole media community.

Where were all these bleaters for media purity when the Republicans were massed against Hillary Clinton in the campaign, suggesting, if not clearly charging, all sorts of illicit and other actions with her personal computer?

With nothing finally proved or probably wanting to be proved, the Trump army of propagandists in the Congress continued to feed junk to the press who dutifully reported every single charge.

The fact is that stuff suggesting illicit activity by Trump vis-à-vis Russia, even unverified and reported in the media as unverified, is damned well legitimate news simply because it is out there and calls for either valid dismissal or some means to deal with the truth if it is forthcoming.

Merely to call the press all fakers suggests a virtual fascistic response and the reality the Trump camp cannot disprove what is out there.

With but hours to go before Trump is sworn into the most powerful job in the world, the American people are entitled to know the truth, the answers….and now.
