Porter Novelli has appointed Albert Chan as managing director of the agency's Greater China operations.  Based in Beijing, Chan will be responsible for talent management and the strategic growth.  He'll report to Angie Schneider, president, Asia Pacific Region.

Chan has more than 18 years of marketing and communications experience across Hong Kong, mainland China and Taiwan.  He previously was a senior VP at Ogilvy China and the head of the WPP Team Dell of Greater China for eight year.  While at Omnicom sister agency Ketchum, Chan's work on the Asia Pacific leadership committee during the 2008 Olympics led to a Clio Award for the Lenovo brand campaign.

"Today, Greater China is the world's most dynamic economy and is fast becoming one of the biggest players in the global business market," Chan said.
