The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which hosted the inaugural Academy Awards in 1929, offers newly furnished rooms ranging from poolside cabanas to suites with views of L.A. and the Hollywood Hills.  The heated outdoor pool features a million dollar work of art painted by acclaimed artist David Hockey.

Hotel Casa del Mar sits on the Pacific coast and was once an exclusive beach club in the 1920s.  Amenities include two restaurants, lounge with nightly entertainment, indoor cabanas, spa and fitness center with outdoor pool.

Newly opened in December 2016, Plaza La Reina is Spanish influenced, 44-unit luxury hotel in the L.A. suburb of Westwood, close to Bevely Hills, Century City, Bel Air, Brentwood and the University of California, Los Angeles with its world renowned medical center.

Gansevoort Turks + Caicos resort sits on the secluded western end of Grace Bay Beach.  The 91-room luxury property features include the Exhale Spa, fitness center and signature restaurant Stelle.  New oceanfront villas are set to open this year with infinity pools, secluded courtyards and private swimming platforms at ocean level.

Marriott's Wailea Beach Resort in Maui debuted a $100 million renovation Christmas eve 2016.  Six new dining options include Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamaguchi.  Kid-friendly amenities include Maui's longest waterslide, kids club, teen center and a movie house.
