ScoutComms, which specializes in veteran and military family-serving clients, has named Rory Brosius as VP.  Brosius spent the last four years as deputy director of the White House’s Joining Forces Initiative and policy advisor to First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden.

Launched by Mrs. Obama and Dr. Biden in 2011, Joining Forces sought to rally all Americans around service members, veterans, and their families and support them through wellness, education, and employment opportunities.

Brosius guided the development and implementation of the Wellness pillar of Joining Forces, including mental health and caregiving.  She brings her firsthand experience as a military spouse to her work in the military and veteran communities.

“I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Rory and witness firsthand her passion and incredible breadth of knowledge on the veteran and military communities. As part of our team, I’m confident she’ll be able to continue to build on the relationships and initiatives she championed on behalf of our wide range of clients and partners,” said ScoutComms founder and CEO Fred Wellman.
